The three tritium dots lined up will help in aiming during the day but at night what they are meant for the rear sight serves as a distraction

As soon as the light comes on the tritium on both the front post and the rear ring drowns out and you can only see the black outline of the circular peep of the rear and the post on the front

Your eyes will be close to the 2 tritium dots on the rear ring and they kind of get hazy and big when your eye approaches them

In close to total dark they do let you know that youre actually looking through the peep and not outside of it
