I have the gripmax close combat grips for the ps4 and they work great the original grip was coming off of the joysticks after about a year of usage so i wasnt sure if they were going to stay on

I tried them anyway and they came off twice when i used them for about two hours so i took them off and trimmed the old worn off grip pad off the sides and the bottom of the controller because it wasnt attached firmly to the controller

Just to be clear i used small scissors to remove the portion of the original grip which was somewhat hanging off of the corners and bottom of the joystick i didnt modify the gripmax close combat grips at all

Also dont remove the entire original grips because these grips are made to go on over them my controllers left joystick was wearing mainly around the edges and the side so i left the top of the pad intact

If your joystick is really bad off or if someone removed the grips already i imagine that these new grips could be glued on but youd want to be careful to position them almost all of the way on before carefully applying a superglue from the bottomside with a type of glue which has a small straw or whatnot to go under the edge of the new grip

Only nitpicky thing i can say is pushing into the stick in order to make characters run isnt as responsive as it could be

I wondered if the much cheaper competitors were as good bought a 10 pack of cheap ones in different sizes

The cheap competitor got slippery when sweaty broke repeatedly wasnt designed as well to seat on the stick
