Pros & Cons
Pros
Dr. Power ii is an inexpensive way to check the computer power supply before installation. Don't forget to shutdown the ps before swapping the connector.
Performs as advertised. Display is fantastic, intuitive and well worth the money.
Very easy to use interface, good instructions, seems well built. Using it could not be easier. I expect it to last for as long as i'll ever need to measure the rails on power supplies.
Vsb is known as standby voltage. This provides an entire scope of voltages and amperages. I usually use these to check the status of a psu then bring out the multimeter if the voltage discrepancy is beyond 2% of the norm.
The readout is so important because it gives you the information you need. This reduces clutter and time spent trying to diagnose a post issue. It's just faster to use and it helps to point out physical connection flaws, that probes may miss.
