Pros & Cons

Pros

Like the bags a lot. Maybe the feeling of being constricted in a bag becomes more natural over time? Compression bag is large enough to make the job of stuffing it back pretty manageable.

The zipper seems to zip up and down just fine with minimal snagging. The hood and can be tightened up to further seal off the inside. Only complaint is the zipper being on my right side.

The bag is plenty big enough for my pudgy 5'10 self. I'm 6' and this is plenty long, very wide, and a good 4 loft throughout. It's long enough to fit my entire body including my head, with the hood comfortably flipped up over my head all night.

Cons

The sleeping bag isn't 90 in length. The lining is not attached so don't try changing positions. The zipper slides with the slightest pull so the only option is to keep it zipped all the way up.

Teton makes inferior goods and overstates the specifications of their products. The old one has a liner that is much softer, like a flannel shirt. This one is more silky and shiny, not as nice.

Quality

So far we are all happy with the bags warmth

As for actual quality otherwise it was more than warm enough for mid 20 degree winter camping in oregon

The teton celsius xl is a premium product

But this would really be used if you have plenty of storage with the family to drive to camp

Packaging/appearance

It takes some convincing to get it back into the bag

Forget rolling it up and getting it into the bag

Competitiveness

I have been sleeping in the car sometimes with a temperture bellow 10c very comfortable

These are great for car camping but are not lightweight and the size of your oldschool rollup sleeping bags

Not tested in any serious temps but i cant imagine needing liners teton sells specific liners for these bags or a bivvy unless ...  Read More

Just laying on top of the sleeping bag feels like a matress unto itself it really is that thick

It weighs too much and is too large to fit in a standard backpack sleeping bag compartment
