The switch is very ruggedly built. The foot petal is strong enough to las a longtime. I'm sure it will hold up to the * of being outdoors and subject to heavy-footed viewers.

Heavy cast aluminum housing and appears to have a quality coating of paint. Easy install. Has a nice heavy duty feel and click to it when depressed.

Cons

The only thing that gripes me is the misrepresentation of the anti-skid rubber on the bottom.

I was a little surprised there was no real packaging when it arrived and the insulatorclamp from the picture was not included

Competitiveness

I am using this foot switch to control a heavyduty resistance soldering unit that can draw up to 1800 watts 15 amps

I used these to make a diy inline normally off foot switch combined with a 10ft grounded extension cable

Cut 8ft of male end extension cord2

If you feel this is not enough i’d recommend having an electrician wire it or simply purchase the prewired version
