I get enough light underwater about 56 feet in front of my camera for an excellent image

You cannot use the slider mount given it is loose and you will have camera shake which cannot be ignored

Considering wide angle of go pro you will have shadow on near surfaces consider not mounting gopro camera above the light or avoid shooting near subjects
