Pros
The most important thing about this kettle is that it heats quickly, maintains heat, and can be ready almost in a snap from low heat to a rolling whistle. This tea pot is stylish and holds a lot. I love that this tea kettle is non toxic.
The kettle is so well balanced that i am able to pick it up, even from the side, without worry. The folded handle allows me to pour without splashing. The spout is easily opened without burning my fingers.
Nice stainless and the whistle is loud enough to hear but not obnoxious. It whistles really great, and i love the quality.
It heats up rather quickly vs other kettles we have owned. Water get boiled very quickly, and i clean the calcification buildup every month by using a little white vinegar.
It's definitely stainless 18/8, which is fine and safe to use by my standards. Very lightweight, boils water very quickly, has a good whistle and is stainless steel.
Cons
It reminds me of those cheap blue roasting pans you can buy that are about as thick as a tin can. It's dangerous and it is on a hinge and moves while you are pouring hot water! I'm also not even sure it's actual stainless steel. Had this kettle for a ... Read More

Definitely made in japan as the bottom is stamped made in japan and the box has japanese writing and the quality is high
