Pros & Cons
Pros
The swivelmate is outstanding! It is the safest knee walker made. The color is a pleasant change from the usual silver or black seen with other manufacturers.
The braking system is a bit flimsy, but otherwise this thing is far beyond its competition. There is only a back brake, this is probably by design so that you do not inadvertently flip over forward by applying a front brake. It solves the braking prob... Read More
Swivelmate is compact and easy to navigate. Degree turning radius allows easy maneuverability into tight residential spaces. Maneuverability is amazing and it allows you to get around without * walls.
This one is nimble, sturdy and comes assembled. You just have to make the handlebars upright and lock them in place. It is solidly built, looks good and has a very smooth, comfortable ride.
It weighs around 23 pounds and without jeopardizing my bad leg, i'm able to easily get it into the back of my subaru forester. The fact that it folds up is very practical for transporting when there's not much room. A very useable, easy device.
Cons
It is so unstable and cheaply built that i was afraid i would topple over. The basket is a bit small and isn't very securely attached either. To add insult to injury, the user has to pack it up and ship back at own expense.
Highlights
Quality
Performs like no other knee scooter comfort adjustability stability
The quality is excellent definitely can be used over and over again
Do not believe the reviews that say this it is poorly made or unstable simply not true
You can collapse it quickly and easily not to be overlooked when youre balancing on one foot
Price
It may be a little spendy but is worth every penny
If you are undecided because of the price let me assure you that it’s completely worth it
This is worth the money i paid for it
Works fine not using it now will sell for 125
Shipping
However the amazon employee that delivered it left it on the sidewalk for anyone to come by and steal
As soon as my swivelmate arrived i sent the other off to goodwill
Packaging/appearance
Came almost fully assembled so no worries putting it together
The fact that it folds up is very practical for transporting when theres not much room
Competitiveness
It is infinitely easier to assemble than the economy model of the other brand
The color is a pleasant change from the usual silver or black seen with other manufacturers too
That was the one good thing about the economy model so i swapped out the swivelmate basket for the competitor’s basket
I read the revues of this scooter and the competitors and decided on this one because it seemed more stable

Contrary to some reviews it really can turn 90 degrees
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
Obviously one needs to be at a stop while doing this otherwise your momentum would carry you forward the walker would turn 90 degrees but you would not

Contrary to the review that its difficult to turn because the rear wheels turn at different speeds is rubbish
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
Unlike a car the rear wheels are very close together so they turn at essentially exactly the same rate

Also the comment that it is problematic as is the only vehicle in which the front axle turn is nuts bicycles shopping carts and cars all using a turning front axle
