The outside is a foggy gray color

It is a small raised hole almost like drinking out of a very fat straw

I took one star off because while the top of the cap does feature rubber gaskets to stop leaking when closed

The spout itself has no such plug and would spill if dropped or tipped over when open not an ideal item for children who are prone to the drops

On a side note while the instructions and packaging did not mention the item as being dishwasher safe i did put mine in the dishwasher on the top shelf and it came out fine
