    You are supposed to let the device charge itself and then plug your cell phone or whatever into the charged solar unit so that its internal batteries can then charge your device

    With five nimh aaa cells when it is charged it should offer about 4000 mah and that should charge your phone

    You have to understand that the solar panels only charge the aaa batteries

    Do not try to charge aaa batteries and charge you device at the same time
