Recommend you get the 3 one if you are plugging into usb outlets on a hub and not on your computer for the device it is attached to

However i quickly realized that the pi could not by default provide enough power for the dvd player to reliably spin up and sometimes not turn on at all if i was unlucky

Another great aspect of this cable outside of the price is that the length was perfect for my setup too long and it would have been difficult to manage to short and it would be difficult to have it in the ideal location for accessibility
