Much easier to turn the handle when the butter is not frozen although it will come out like a ribbon as advertised

Years ago quality was a must for a product to sell todays products made in china using plastic dont hold up to the quality of material and design of this unit

Also sometimes after loading the butter it is difficult to get the two pins to latch into the device

The plastic ones have a limited lifetime in family service and it seems like a waste to replace one with exactly the same type knowing we will only get a few years service before we need to replace it
