Pros
We live in a very dry climate, so this functioned well. It does just what an air conditioner would do.
Reviewer says her boyfriend's bedroom is the hottest in his roommate's house. This unit has been effective in lowering the temperature enough to still snuggle under the comforter even during a heat wave.
The air is noticeably cooler than a fan and it's not too noisy at all. It cools down the room considerably & it's very easy to move. It's a straight pass from the cooling pad to the fan, making it an efficient design.
The 3-d pad is better than a 2-d one. It works exactly as an evaporative cooler should.
Cons
The plastic tray in the back is flimsy and i'm not confident in it's durability long term. Would not recommend this product.
The texture is so porous that there is hardly any water retention. After about a month of using this unit maybe 10 times it leaks bad. It releases all the water in the reservoir onto the floor if you fill it past about an inch of depth.

It will slowly lower the temperature of a modest room but it’s really about putting it near you and so you can cool down

When the outside temps are 100115 degrees or even less it will never cool an entire room because the heating from the outside quickly warms the only slightly cooler air back up
