There is a more expensive format of the same style the sony mdrex510lp inear headphones which may offer you some incremental sound improvement but to be perfectly honest after many months of using both models im not sure that i can say that the double the price you pay for the 510lps results in twice the sound quality

If the ear bud is not properly placed in the canal bass levels precipitously drop and it may sound like the headphones are producing very inferior sound
