I used sim in a locked tmobile lg g2 after i activated sim card i received a link via text that set the apn followed directions in the link and reset the phone once it came back on lte data was working

Also note that this is a generic sim card and not a simple mobile sim card but once activated welcome texts came from simple mobile as with an actual simple mobile sim card and it is sent by regular mail in a plain envelope with written instructions on it to text them with the sim card and your zip code

Activation shouldve been easy had the tollfree number or the web address that came with the sim worked

If you need to use the 1gb data you need to set up connection with the info texted to your phone from simple mobile welcome messages
