There are some small grooves where the copper runs through the coolercpu contact point and there are small gaps

On the other hand this thing is fairly expensive and in my particular usage scenario the tension from the mounting bracket caused my entire miniitx z97 motherboard to flex badly

If you cant fit watercooling such is the case in the silverstone raven case you can go with a stock cpu cooler which honestly isnt an awful idea if you arent overclocking or something like this
