Pros & Cons
Pros
Spring steel headband, leather padding and velour earpads make these headphones very pleasurable to wear even for many hours at a time. Light weight, roomy earcups and low clamping pressure make them very comfortable to wear. Only criticism is that th... Read More
The srh1840 is amazingly detailed, balanced, and listenable. The best way to describe the experience is creamy with a smidge of brightness, with an amazing open stage and crystal articulation.

Headphone screams quality, durability and elegance. I'm no headphone connoisseur, but these are the best 'phones i've owned.
Cons
The 1840 sounds like the music is coming from a bottom of a well. The headband is still terrible though! Also, they're a little too lightweight, feel a bit flimsy, and having cords on both sides is inconvenient.

In sum if you love music are considering these headphones and are questioning whether the price is worth it all i can say is yes

Detachable cable and a traveling case is something that you most likely wont get with the competitors headphones
Unfortunately i do not have any of the competing products in this price range so i cannot directly compare them
