A good thing about these is that you can remove the plastic guard piece from the pocket when you want to throw the fabric into the laundry and put the plastic piece back in after they dry

But the plastic alone would definitely prevent ripping your leg on the plywood box

They dont provide any cushion so if youre looking for something with cushion for box jumps im not sure these would meet your expectations
