When i first got this printer i tried buying ink and refilling the cartridges myself

That made a huge mess and the printer didnt recognize there was ink so i got tons of error messages that sometimes i could override and sometimes i couldnt

You snap it in and it tells your printer you have a new cartridge installed so the error messages go away
