Pros

Easy to assemble. Easy to follow instructions. One caution is that against the recommendation of the instructions, i had to use a power drill to completely tighten the cams.

The bookcase is very sturdy once assembled. Small novels fit on the top shelf with large picture books fitting nicely on the bottom shelf.

This is engineer pressed wood, but it does look good, apart from a small scratch (will need some touch up).

The color and sturdiness are fantastic. The materials are thick and sturdy.

Second time i've bought from this amazon seller. Both products arrived in mint condition due to excellent packing. Sauder puts so much focus on packing well to prevent damage in transit.

Cons

Particle board, using the structurally unsound cam and dowel method of assembly, with little to no lateral support. The veneer is too thin. Color is much darker than pictured. Imperfections in the finish.
