P717 and sister p718 with biometric sensor are push from outside - pull from inside. The lock has a mechanical switch sensor to determine if the door is open or closed. The trickiest part is to the the door strike to properly line up with the mortise ... Read More

Can't beat convenience of self-locking, keypad, and rf keys. If you ever lose one you could reprogram your lock to wipe out those keys. The keyless feature is great and no more worrying about getting locked out.

Cons

Biggest flaw is that in this model you can't generate multiple numeric code access for different guests. Not an english mortise lock. Avoid, especially from this seller.
