This product is amazing! I was flabbergasted. This tool is amazing in terms of getting those mats out mostly painlessly. Amazing for getting stubborn knots off your pets without hurting them.
This brush is amazing. Our older cat has fur matting issues with which we have struggled for years. Our gs sheds like crazy, and molts as summer comes. I highly recommend if your cat has stubborn matted hair!
Cons
It does not de-mat or cut out the mats, it just pulls the mats further hurting the animal. The blade is not sharp enough, so it tears the hair rather than cutting.

I may have misunderstood how the product actually worked so my expectations were higher than they probably should have been

It works as well if not better than the furminator brush and he likes me brushing him with this one better
We were very surprised just how well the pet republique dematting tool worked
I could not believe that in about 23 minutes we got off a 3inch long mat from her little hind legs
This has led to issues and no brush including a furminator i bought would get the mats out

I was slightly disappointed because i had them snag a couple times and get stuck and obviously that’s not ideal

If you have an animal with long textured hair that’s really matted or tangled i would maybe look at other options

I also am not a professional and i was under the impression it had blades that would kind of cut the mats out as you brush without irritating the skin

This gets hair out of cats that i thought were already in good shape

Long strokes tend to snag and pull the hair and 2 have a wet paper towel close by cuz that fine little hair will be flying everywhere and you’ll need something to wipe the hair off your face your hands and your nose
