I believe that only works with a device that has a hard onoff

The roku and firesticks that i have go into a sleep mode and dont exercise a complete onoff cycle

There may be a way around this however if you shut down these devices they go thru a longer startup

The remote is a little flaky but i think thats because you have to point it directly at the switch for it to work

It has a button to manually switch and a tiny remote control to manually switch remotely but these are not necessary to switch between devices depending on your setup
