The edge is nice and flat so all debris sweeps right into the dust pan instead of ending up under it like with cheap plastic ones that dont have a flat edge

Only gripe is that the large manufacturers label on the front which really spoils the look was terribly hard to get off even with chemical solvents and resulted in minor scratching and dulling of the finish in that spot

It works though it will last a lifetime it was made in the usa and it can be recycled if for some reason it is no longer of use
