There are some complaints though being arm it has less application support from qnap itself and developers than x86 nases there is no ios companion application for notes station seems to be under development

Now for the butfor someone who isnt familiar with how a nas works might be overwhelmed with the setup its easy but no real good directions come with the package all information is online i would suggest you do some research before you dig into this unityou can use this for an itunes server photo server media server it come with some software called plex wich most other nass on the market dont you need this to use this as a media server which is why i went with qnap instead of others out there it can be a web server also and much much more

I played around with some of the mobile apps just to see what they were like theyre pretty aweful
