Programming exercises at the end of each chapter are interesting, entertaining, and satisfying. Each chapter builds on the last in a very coherent way.

It is a very text heavy book but in no way is the author verbose. The book conveys concepts well and the writing is relatively personable.

This book is a great starter for getting into both python and programming. This is the most informative book on python that i have ever purchased. Wonderful textbook for intro to programming and intro to python.
