The reason i gave it only four 4 stars is it only gives you an indication when it alarms

This is more of a survey meter as it only gives indication when the alarm sounds

This is a good meter for the home user as it shows hot spots in an area so steps could be taken to remove the offending device or by some means shield the area from the hot spot

I found that the device works better if a person is holding it

Example if it is placed by a device or cord that gives off enough emf to register and set off the alarm when you remove your hand from the device it stops alarming there is no reading if it just started beeping
