Bought for roku streambar pro. Used this to connect my roku streambar pro to my router via an ethernet cable. Allows a user to connect a cat-5 cable from their wi-fi modem to a computer's usb port for internet capability.

Easy to install and easy to setup. Plug and play for hp proliant servers. No software needed to run the server.

Best way to protect internet connectivity without concern for loss of signal. Turn off wi-fi and connect through the network settings under system preferences to avoid possible dropouts. Gives me much better speeds than relying on wifi. Mbps ethernet ... Read More

There is no need for it to require a download to work unless it is programmed to need that. The unit gets very much warmer than does the good unit, so it seems that this is a problem with the electrical component(s) in the device. No drivers for arm.

So if youre looking for an ethernet adapter to use with the system then give this one a shot

Though we did turn off the chromebooks wifi completely and no further crashes have occurred

I prefer the stability of wired ethernet to wifi and since roku devices top out at 100mbps input this is the correct adapter to use

Bought this and was able to hard wire with cat5
