I just mix a bit of baking soda and a few drops of bleach with warm water pour it into the bladder attach the hose and shake vigorously for about 3 minutes and drain it through the hose by pinching the mouthpiece

It worked fine with flowing riversstreams in the tahoe area but if youre expecting this to fill up in still water youre better off using a smart water bottle youtube it or something like that
