These bulbs turn on instantly something i cannot say for the cfls that they are replacing

Con the brightness on dim mode isnt that different from full bright

You do need 3 or more bulbs in the fixture for them to work properly with lutron maestro or they will glow dimly when the dimmer is turned off

No flicker for the most part when dimmed down really low there is some flicker but if you have a lutron maestro dimmer you can adjust the low trim so the lowest setting is just above the bulbs flicker point

This bulb features a plastic crystal which emits the leds light surrounding this is a thin glass material

I know this because i dropped one of the bulbs during installation and the outer glass shell broke however the led light itself under the plastic crystal emitter continue to work and has not changed the bulbs performance
