Price
My sound system in my lounge cost ten times what this speaker cost but it’s nowhere near ten times better
I had looked at various soundbars but the price was always prohibitive so i had been tolerating poor sound quality for far too long
The performance of this equipment is surprising considering its size and its price

Competitiveness
I wanted something better than a basic soundbar and this product was ideal
This panasonic soundbase connected easily to my tv
I have a 30kg tv on top of the speakerboard which sits on a stand which is in effect a metal plate on top of the board
But performance is perfect dialog much clearer than previous soundbar

The sound bar switches on and off with the tv remote and the tv remote controls the sound bar volume so no need for a separate remote except when using bluetooth which works fine with my iphone

Only 1 hdmi pass through so cannot use arc on multiple sources without swapping cables ie sky q and bluray player

The hdmi link transmits sound only not video so is useless
