Pros

Just plug it in, open computer and find the new hard drive under devices and drives. The device supports usb attached scsi (uas) so if your pc supports uas you should have great performance when attached to an usb 3.

The enclosure is sturdy and i also like the red color. With the small piece of sponge the ssd is properly adjusted. My only complaint is the cover snaps on, but it felt kind of flimsy.

Very easy to install a 2. Device. Works well with a 2½ ssd, though i'm not sure a spinning drive would stay cool.

Cons

Firmware is horrible and disconnects randomly. I'm not sure if my item is defective. I have to take the drive(s) out and plug them in manually.

This enclosure looks great a first glance and it is stylish, but in use, it becomes a hassle and potentially hazardous to use. Do not buy. Returned to amazon for a refund.

I used this as a enclosure for a 500gb ps4 hard drive that i replaced with a larger capacity drive

5 hdd and ssd to house a sixyearold crucial sata iii 512gb ssd and the installation was smooth snug and tooless

Not flimsily plastic but well built to protect disk

I had a left over samsung 256gb ssd from a laptop upgrade so figured i might as well put it in an enclosure to use as a backup
