It fits perfectly widthwise in the tray although it hangs over the front of the tray a bit so it doesnt suction well in that capacity

I would say the suction capacity works well until the baby figures out how to grab and pull and lets face it thats most babies by the point you would be allowing them to eat food out of this so i would not necessarily recommend this for a hardcore thrower

I have to say that the one downside for me is that im washing this thing constantly about five times every two days if we run the dishwasher once in that time

Its not that its so hard to clean food washes pretty easily off the silicone but its floppy and big and there is one little ducky icon in the corner for which you have to make sure to get the food out of the indentations

We might get a suction bowl at some point to substitute sometimes
