Sure if i whack the desk youll still hear it but with the desktop stand i used previously any little movement in this secondfloor apartment of mine would shake the setup and you could hear it come through in the recording

I have it on the end of a spring controlled arm so isolating from vibration noise was a significant thing

Without them i was picking up people walking and table sounds with just the change of the mic mounts all the annoying sounds went away

If i tap the desk where my standboom set up is it seems like the vibration is carried to the mic effectively leaving out the suspension protection

Blocks most things but if you tap the table it will register in the mic

One has something wrong with the elastic band part
