However you can use the usb port to allow one charger to charge 2 devices simultaneously and there is a priority switch where depending on the input the charger is receiving you can prioritize which should charge first the battery or the other device

However and not to overstate the obvious you should then have a spare charged battery or aa to put into your flashlight while the imr14500 liion recharges
