This is not a firm mattress but is soft enough that i do not feel like i am sleeping on the groundeasy setup take out of box put on top of the mattress base open outer tarp like wrapping openremove clear plastic to eliminate the vacuum effect and bring the mattress to lifeconsmattress was wrapped wrong side up so after the beast comes to life from the vacuum seal i had to flip the monstrosity overshippingfedex was late delivering onbefore the anticipated delivery date
