The connector is a micro usb to micro usb u shaped connector

It fits well and as long as you support the battery when re inserting it into the case doesnt seem to stress the connections much

The battery has a button on it to activate charging however a nice feature is when you start charging the external battery it will also charge the phone battery at the same time with no intervention

It is a nice sturdy tpu case that no longer has multiple layers and a plastic screen protector built in
