Lifetime warranty if you buy it from registered reseller dont forget to request and invoice and check with netgear to ensure that they will honor a warranty

There are some sellers here and there that will sell you a new switch but netgear will refuse the warranty because they are not in their list

Edit 20140223 i have 8x hitachi ultrastar 7k4000 hus724040ale640 in raid6 on ds3611xs connected to the switch the speed when copying files between ds3611xs and a workstation is around 400500mbs jumbo frames disabled

The switch is now inaudible and barely warm and helps move the air around other components on my ikea besta shelves with back removed the only thing about my cooling is that there is no way to put back the top panel since the new fans cannot fit under it 200mm fan is adding something like 40mm to overall height of the switch but this doesnt bother me

In both cases we are satisfied it allowed us to save 5000 over the next choice dell powerconnect and even more over cisco
