The smaller front pocket has a padded pocket for an ipad device as well as a large zippered pocket and four smaller pockets which is not necessarily clear from the picture

We flew from minnesota to toronto ubered to niagara falls rented a car from buffalo to nj shore to nyc walked and subwayed around nyc took a train to dc and then flew back to minnesota

I usually travel a lot on air and hand carry luggage is not convenient most of the time if you travel to busy cities like new york city and wishes to tour around the city with my belongings

In addition to that if you do not have much items to bring on air you could always place under the seat else if the bag is packed there would always be a spot at the overhead bin
