The finger print poof aspect seems to attract fingerprints smears but it cleans easily it might be coated with a thin layer of hydrophobic film as it has a different sheen compared to bare stainless

It came with batteries already installed

All i had to do was turn the unit over and pull out the plastic tab that keeps the batteries from being used while shipping

The only thing i found that isnt 100 is the fact that whoever wrote the instructions isnt of english or american descent
