As prior reviews have stated the glass itself is not actually black in color however you would never be able to tell unless you inspected it very closely

If i had to complain there are minor machining marks around the edges of the glass a kind of crosshatched pattern which are only visible up close and holds it back from being otherwise perfect

Would be perfect if the black part was flawless but there are some spots where it wasnt coated with whatever the black material

I think the black paper makes for an interesting effect but as others have said it is not really black glass just clear glass with black paper on the bottom
