Pros
These portable grab bars are excellent at providing increased safety in the shower. Keep our family members safe without having to drill holes in the wall or cut tile. They really hold! It's basically as strong as the tile wall.
This seems to be a solidly built and attractive product. We have to check them periodically to re-apply them, but they are well worth it. Bought six for several shower baths in condo overseas.
Cons

I dont think it would get suction on curved walls rough surfaces or small tiles with lots of grout lines
