Pros
Recharges via aa batteries, usb, solar charge and hand-crank dynamo. It takes one minute of winding to supply 5-10 minutes of radio at medium volume.
Running snail brand in green. I really like the radio -- it feels sturdy and good quality. Very impressed with this item.
I genuinely enjoy the product but now it's practical purpose for emergencies is no longer there. Guided me through the process very attentively.
The radio sounds crisp and clear in fm/am/weather. The volume and tuning knobs are a little tight but that's fine; they're new and will probably get smoother over time. The only disappointment is the lack of the ability to use a headset or earphones.
Cons
Red charging light comes on while plugged into usb but that also doesnt seem to charge the battery. After charging over 10 hours in the sun, it plays on the solar battery for about 10 minutes, sometimes less and will not play at all on solar panel.
The reception is horrible. I have to take it outside to pick up any noaa weather channels, which really defeats the purpose of the whole radio if you ask me. Noaa weather did not function at all in the sierras of cal.

We took it out of the box and tried everything out and everything seems to be in fine working order
This was a lot smaller than it looked but in retrospect this is good thing because it wont take up much space in a er evacuation kit

Nws stations work well just make sure you have the radio stationary and your antenna pulled out to help
