    Cable can only take so muck flexing so i bought this unit because it is the same as the broke one and the probe works in both units

    I did read the directions and it states do not use metal probe and wire for over 392 degrees cooking temperature

    Do not allow the metal probe or wire come into contact with flames when using on grill

    Probe failures are common when exposed to high heat as well as water and moisture damage from improper cleaning

    Had i not read the instructions i would have assumed this could take a higher heat but clearly it warns of this issue
