Pros
Teaspoon per 5 gallon bucket. Placed charcoal in three old socks and placed in closet in different locations. Activated carbon / charcoal ensures longevity of the product.

It works excellently. Like bruce willis in armageddon (spoiler).
Cons
This carbon is the dustiest most disintegrated carbon i have ever used. Every 3 or so days i find myself having to either replace the charcoal or clean out the filter.
Don't be greedy for cheap. Customer service from the manufacturer is none existent. If this is a shipping issue it still makes this carbon unacceptable.

The 40 0z pack is pretty big even bigger than that other 40 oz you know so well
It will do the trick and clear and clean your water of yellowness

You will also be rinsing this forever to get al the black dust off before putting into your tank

However required a lot of shaking out in a pool of water before putting it into the aquarium tons of sandsized bits and black clouds coming off of it
