Pros
The chitarra helps make noodles without preservatives so easy. It is also an ideal size for asian noodles (in my opinion). Marcato makes these with pride. It works great.
Even a novice at making pasta can get the hang of it. The machine is just beautiful in its simplicity. The instructions are clear.
First one seemed arcane and exotic to me, at first. This one is durable and reliable. The cutters and combs are clearly far higher in quality than the knockoff.
Cons
It's subjective, but i don't think i did.
Product was received by me repackaged (not in original box) and with previously waterlogged instructions. The instructions arent the easiest to decipher. Is it doable? Yes, kind of, and no.
Disappointed>ordered areplacement - smae issue. Contacted the company. Waited about 3 weeks. I contact seller who said, sorry!

The machine and rollers are sturdy and well constructed
It is well made and the dough flows through with ease
The cutters and combs are clearly far higher in quality than the knockoff
For my first five batches or so i was seeing metal flakes in my dough after rolling it out which displeased my greatly

So what’s the extra 40 to you
The machine is twice the cost of chinese knockoffs
You get what you pay for and this is worth the money

Arrived very quickly and was great value for the money
Sep 7 2023the box must have been wet at the warehouse when placed in the box to ship
They not only found the unique machine only manufactured for a couple of months but they shipped it out right away
We will try out the maker and be able to review it vs its shipping
Packaging/appearance
Nothing else that came with the package or the outer box itself was wet
It was just odd that its box came wet
Competitiveness
Be warned though that accessories for other manufacturers machines wont fit so make sure you buy cutters for this one
We had bought another cheaper brand then upgraded to this one
I have always been interested in making my own pasta but thought the cost of a pasta maker would be more than i would want to invest
