Pros
The 1700 rx is awesome. Nutribullet also seems more solidly made, and i enjoy the simplicity.
In a one minute preprogrammed blend, nutribullet does a better job than the ninja. The blender has a default smoothie mode and a souper mode. When blending fruits and vegetables everything is blended very smoothly.
Lids are well made with rubber gaskets. Washing and checking gasket seat before using. Containers made very well with well thought out handle.
Cons
It seems to just throw all the ingredients up against the wall of the cup instead of blending. Using anything other than liquids is a pain - and this is an incredibly expensive salad dressing mixer. My magic bullet is way better at blending.
The bottom of the gasket smells like methane gas after a couple of weeks. The bottom piece with the blades leaks liquids, the rare times it doesn't leak is when you twist the cup into it. This one leaks.

Full disclosure—i have a vitamix too but this is so much easier to handle than that beast
And its closer in dna to a vitamix than it is to a bullet

Im only going to buy this 1200 watt one with the small pitcherblender that heats up if i know that cleaning it really isnt an issue and that that gasget is now a permanent part of the machine as a gentlemen complained about it coming off and getting ground up with his food
