I had another brand automatic feeder before this one that was temperamental from the start sometimes dropping food and sometimes not so we always had to check it and shake it to see if the mechanism was stuck it got so bad the cat wrestled the thing over and dislodged the lid

It would be great if this plugged in because each time you put in new batteries it has to be reset again

My cats were able to get food from the opening and the cat proof guard that came with it is difficult to put together and installed and hard to keep in place not a good design seems something added as an afterthought

So if i am there and want to feed and groom her a little earlier or later than the programmed time i have to manually reprogram the three meals set up the meal to zero then later remember to program it back

They cannot but it still makes a racket if you are trying to sleep and they decide to start poking at it
