The beam is very nonuniform such that it has an intense hotspot in the center that is so bright that any camera like the gopro hero used at night underwater will register its peak reading off the center and autoadjust the light level such that the resulting picture or movie only sees the very narrow center of the beam even though there is a dim halo around the center of the beam that is very visible to the human eye

The beam needs to be focusable so that the hot spot can be spread out yet this light has no beam focus adjustment whatsoever

The onoff ring got stuck at one point bc of corrosion on the little rolling magnet wheel inside the ring

I pulled off the ring took out the magnet and sanded it w two grades of sand paper

Putting it back together is a bit tricky as theres a spring inside the ring along its circumference that returns the ring switch to base position
