Lenovo thinkpad x1 carbon touch is a premium ultrabook made with high quality materials. It feels substantial while being very lightweight. It moves everywhere in the house, it comes on trips in the airplane.
Thinkpad x1 carbon touch has an excellent touchscreen and a great keyboard that i have always been very fond of. The reason why i purchase lenovo laptops over some other brands is purely because of the keyboard. Love the backlit keyboard.

Everything works, with ubuntu trusty 14.
Cons
It takes for ever to detect two fingers on it for scrolling down. It always has strange sound when clicking. While windows 8 has issues, i doubt i will ever again buy a laptop without a touch screen.

Lenovo has another winner in their hands but the price easily ruins it
I can safely say that it is by far my favorite looking ultrabook on the market but the price is what sets me off

The only other thing ive noticed is the usual proclivity to put the power button up by the screen

As a 14inch screen the resolution is great although 1920x1080 would have been nice for a computer at this price

I didnt know if id use the touchscreen on a notebook whether the distance of the screen from my hand would make it convenient to use i use the touch screen all the time and am happy i spent the extra funds on the touchscreen

The only minor detail is the film that covers the screen to give the mate finish looks like is removable but is not

That caused various struggles associated first with the crazy fact that w7 is installed with four primary partitions already

I chose the restore partition but i had to save it to a usb drive before wiping it

Then you have to shrink the w7 partition which proves to be prevented to the extent one needs by w7 having written some unmovable files in the middle
